TV B92 confirms arrest
Although nothing on the website yet, b92 TV has confirmed that Ratko Mladic has been arrested.
Bosnian TVBN said that he is arrested and transported to NATO HQ at Tuzla.
Norwegian Dagbladet also confirms arrest, but according to Serbian news agency Tanjug, so that actualy doesnt have to mean anything.
update: Goverment still denies everything.
My guess is that we will find out in the next couple of days the real truth about all this, and that it WILL turn out that he has been arrested. The only reason for denial is that goverment wanted to prevent possible demonstrations by stalling in telling the truth. Personally i don’t believe there would be any demonstrations, at least not more than in Croatia after Gotovina got arrested, and that would say very futile demonstrations at best.
None of this men charged of war crimes deserve to have demosntrators in the streets defending them anyway. They need to be arrested and put up to trial as soon as possible and than things will start falling to place, at last.
