The Balkans are joining Europe… in all senses

Today I bumped in the news on B92 to some thing very interesting . Namely in Bulgaria, on the main bus station in Sofia, in order to ease the waiting hours of the travellers and their tensions, they will show on the screens porno films, instead of timetables. This is intended to be occuring on late hours when children are already in their beds. Apart from positive and negative reactions, the greatest fear is that the criminality will rise in the Bulgarian capital since, the policemen would find it more interesting to watch pornos, either than hunting criminals.

I’m realy interested to know how would such a thing be perceived in Belgrade?

I’m not sure how it would be perceived by general public, but it would be perceived as moronic by me. There is enough pornography on the newspaper stands as it is, the last thing we would need is the TV screens playing it.

That’s so outrageous an idea as to be almost impossible to believe. Who are the passengers on those buses at that time of night — just perverts and dirty old men? And they want to ENTERTAIN them? Yuk.

When I read that news, I thought that they are kidding. Simply unbelievable.

  4. I also thought this was a spoof. I think broadcasting porn in a public place at any time of the day is ill advised. It is not just children one needs to consider. What happens if they play that horrifying German scatological porn that was on the some late night Serbian channels last year? Imagine trying to eat or even sleep after sleep after that.

“French Minister of Culture Rennaud Donnadieu de Vabres has awarded world renowned Serbian director with France’s Order of the Knight of Arts and Literature of the first degree — Commandeur dans l’Ordre des Arts et des Lettres.”

That’s European. Why don’t you write about that?
