Testiclicious!
There’s a new cookbook in town – and it requires lots of balls.
Ljubomir R. Erovic of Gornji Milanovac recently came into the international spotlight when he published an online cookbook with recipes for testicle dishes – testicle pizza, testicle goulash and so on. As I am currently in th UK I had the chance of hearing radio hosts on various stations having a laugh about this not managing to pronounce the chef’s name, but clearly stating his country of origin. Suddenly it occurred to me that the next time I say to someone I’m from Serbia, the person might ask me “Really, I heard of Serbia, isn’t that the country where people… erm… eat a lot of testicles?” to which I will hapilly reply that yes, I eat testicles on a daily basis, my favorite meal is a testicle burger, and that noone can make a testicle pie like me granny.
Why not have fun with a false stereotype while you can? At least it doesn’t involve human testicles… I hope.
Chef Ljubomir claims that some of the meals are sort of aphrodisiac-ish, which seems pretty logical, now that I think about it. Also, another thing – if we are already eating various other animal bodyparts, why would this one be a taboo? No need to laugh – maybe some day we will all be happily sucking balls from the testicle soup.

The new Serbian Coat of Arms

Hi,
I helped produce the book – out of curiosity on what radio stations did you hear it being mentioned? Could you drop me an email to let me know?
The point of the exercise is that anyone can publish anything through YUDU, giving a freedom and power that traditional publishing would not.
I’d really appreciate it if you could get back to me.
Cheers
Hi Sid,
I heard it on a couple of radio stations here in UK, I don’t know the names, but I guess they were local ones, near Hull or in the region of East Yorkshire… that’s the best I could do to help I’m afraid.
ITN seem to have picked it up, and Capital FM seem to have picked it up from them. Sid, if you do a search on “Ljubomir Erovic radio” you’ll see there’s been worldwide coverage. Now how about Ljubomir doing a book on the Balkans for vegetarians?
