Serbia vs Germany, World Cup 2010 – to be or not to be

Celebration in the streets after the win against Germany

It happens every time – Serbian team goes all pumped up to the championship ready to take the trophy home. After the first lost game, the atmosphere turns to despair and somehow we are left with the choice – beat Germany or go home. But the old saying goes that football is a simple game; 22 men chase a ball for 90 minutes and at the end, ze Germans win.

You can follow the livestream here. And you can leave your predictions and the game opinions in the comments when the game ends. My fear is that the Germans will kill us.

UPDATE: yeah, I was wrong, we won 1:0! Woohooo!

Here’s some atmosphere in Belgrade streets after the win!

    Congrats, fellow Serbs!!!

But you HAVE to stop touching the ball with your hands inside the big area. Stojkovic can’t get them all.

No wonder Serbia is bad in handball – all best players are in the national soccer team :-)

    Well done Serbia!!!!!!!

on the bright side, if our goalie ever gets a red card, and there are no more substitutes left, we’ll always have someone on the pitch that can do the job well!
