The House of Flowers - Kuca cveca

One of the best thing about the House of flowers in Belgrade is that the entrance is free. That way you can’t be disappointed after the visit, and can’t ask for your money back. The site is worth visiting to see all the funny stuff Tito got from other world leaders while he was ruling the country called Socialist Federative Republic of Yugoslavia (that was the full name). The grave itself is not very spectacular, but it is minimalistically monumental in all its massiveness and coldness.

I have just been to the House of Flowers today, with a group of friends from Rio de Janeiro. It is still a place to pay tribute to one of the greatest leaders of the 20th century. The hall of gifts from all over the world is amazing. Also I'm always mesmerized with the collections of relay batons from Dan Mladosti celebrations.

Your website was recommended to me by Melissa, from Brazil. I'm a Brazilian currently living in Belgrade.

That’s nice, good thing to know its entrance free. But then again, if my money worth to the spectacular sights and seen, it really makes a lot of sense.

The entrance is NOT free, it-s around 3 Euros. But, one ticket is valid for all 3 buildings - 2 museums and House of Flowers. Free entrance is only on three day a year: May 4th and 25th (date of Tito's death and birthday) and i think that the third day is 29th November, SFRY Republic Day. http://merkat-traveler.blogspot.com/2009/05/controversy.html
