After Sunday Times enlisted Belgrade in it's top five world party cities couple of years ago, this time it's the Lonely Planet with their top ten world party cities, and this time, Belgrade takes the first place. It's 20 years since the Berlin Wall was torn down and to celebrate the occassion, various art performances are being held all across Europe. In Belgrade, German artist Frank Botler has built a replica of the wall, this time made out of cardboard bricks and invited Belgraders to contribute by writing grafitti on one side of the wall. Belgrade - Sarajevo direct train will be operational again from Dec 13th 2009, reports Biznis.ba. The train line was cancelled back in 1992, right after the war broke out. Here at Belgraded I also have difficulty tracking down and updating new and outdated clubs and venues, so until then, this should do perfectly.

On this day 20 years ago, one of the greatest Yugoslavian novelists Danilo Kiš died in Paris. Balkans via Bohemia has a good analysys of Kiš's life and work, highly recommend to read it if you're interested in Balkan literature and culture.
