Ray of light in tough times
If there’s one thing I always appreciated about Serbia and it’s turbulent times, it’s the people’s strenght to find something humorous in all that, no matter how bad the times are. It was like that during the sanctions, during the protests, during the bombing, during the Milosevic – there are probably hundreds of (mostly intern and untrasnlatable) jokes on these subjects.
Kosovo independence and the events that followed are no exception to this. The internet and the skilled photoshop users are thriving these days, because the number of ideas and possibilities is virtually endless. The Serbian government began putting up billboards I mentioned earlier and the parodies went from there. All these photoshopped images are made by members of Parapsihopatologija forum, and I imagine there are tons more on the rest of the net, but I recon this will be enough for you to get the picture.
