First low cost flights: Serbia – Germany

Good news:
Germanwings just announced that it will launch a new low budget route Cologne/Bonn – Belgrade in September. Prices go as low as 19 EUR for one way ticket!
You can already book your tickets on their site. From 2nd September you will be able to fly three times weekly to Belgrade (and back maybe).

Hopefully this will be only the first in a series of “no frills” and discount airlines to make Belgrade its regular destination.

Well, I don’t know about you guys, but this is not quite my idea of a “low-cost” flight (online booking on germanwings.com):

    —-
    » Outward (one-way): 2 Adults at 79,00 EUR = 158,00 EUR
» Taxes and Fees (details): 76,08 EUR
    » Return (one-way): 2 Adults at 59,00 EUR = 118,00 EUR
» Taxes and Fees (details): 36,26 EUR
    —-
    » Total Cost: 388,34 EUR
    —-

    Any comments?

If that first post is true then there is no point calling this ‘budget’. I flew to Munich roundtrip for around 330 US for Oktoberfest on Lufthansa.
