Cult Gathering

Everyday for several weeks now (if the weather allows), a group of people with seemingly nothing in common gathers around the Terazijska cesma monument in front of hotel “Moskva” and silently does their thing. What are they doing, young and old of both sexes, mingling about, exchanging some goods? Is it some religious sect? Is this place some drug-legal zone where junkies can buy their medicine without police harassment? Is it a protest of some kind – maybe unhappy McDonalds workers from across the street preparing to storm the place, or is hotel Moskva having a discount on twin bedrooms?

No, it’s just the football championship is coming and, along with it, the albums with stickers. And you just have to have your album completed by the time the championship starts. This is the best way to do it – come together with other football-sticker addicts and exchange your extra pictures for those you are still missing.

At least there’s no tear gas and Molotov cocktails involved.

only this year every pic will be stuck in right direction, not like previous time(s) when our Western neighbors were in albums… :) )

I wonder if they will do the same in Croatia this year – stick the pictures with our players upside down? :D
