Blogger today, prime minister tomorrow
One idea which i had earlier but forgot about it, but which came back to me now is that a prime minister should regularly use a blog as a mean to interact and inform fellow citizens of his actions, ideas, thoughts and plans.
I must admit i forgot about that idea because i could never picture Koštunica, former prime minister, using a PC (or a mobile phone, while we’re at it). An IT-aware guy like Đelić on the other hand, brought this idea back to me in a jiffy. I know that when you say president and blog in the same sentence you definetely must think Ahmadinejad, but let’s hope the potential Đelić blog wouldn’t exactly be so much censored as that of Iran’s leader.

Could this guy be any more shallow? I don’t think so. If this is what you want for the future of Serbia, you’re welcome to it, but I, for one, will lose interest in visiting Serbia and fighting for Serbia in the West. Sharon Stone, indeed! She’ll fit right into a new culture of low morals and even lower integrity. I am always so embarassed by this new wave of Serbs who just can’t wait to get into the West’s lap and cuddle up. I think I’m going to be sick…
Blackbird shouldnt you be more concerned with policies than personalities? I mean if you want to dispute Djelic the best way to do it is to find policy issues you disagree with him on.
Here is one mistake that I believed he made some weeks ago. He stated that one Euro was in actual fact worth 100 dinars – even though the rate at the time was 1 Euro 79 dinars. Of course quite a few Democratic Party / LDP types have been saying this and they also said that the value of the dinar would drop the day after the election. It didnt. But thats not the sin.
This is the nub. Djelic as a qualified economist knows that confidence plays a major role in an economy / currency market. It is irresponsible for a prospective Prime Minister candidate to say that the real value of one Euro is 100 dinars because it could have caused a crisis of confidence in the dinar the day after the election – people with money kept at home change all their dinars into Euros and the value of the dinar plummets as a result.
Luckily this didnt happen but his statement shows a bit of a petty streak in his battle to prove that G17 monetary policies were wrong. That worries me a little although since then he and the democratic party have been trying to build bridges between parties.
I think that it is good that Djelic is writing a blog at B92 although I suspect his blog entries will be few and far between and that he wont have time to reply as Goran Svilanovic did. Anything that connects ordinary people with politicians is a good thing.
I can’t read the blog. It comes up on my screen and then seizes up and I can’t move through it or out of the page. I don’t have this problem with other blogs, so far, that I have looked at on B92, so it’s somewhat mystifying. I’ll try another computer and see if it makes a difference. However, watching the video I saw someone in pursuit of status and little else.
Of course the economy if of paramount importance to Serbia, but so is the character of her people. If you want a social butterfly running the show who blabs about how he rubs shoulders with this or that celebrity then Djelic is your man apparently.
Personality, as you call it, may also be called character — it depends. The U.S. had a very charismatic president with a seductive personality, who had no character and thought nothing of either screwing everything that walked by, nor of bombing innocent Serbs for his own purposes. Clinton was very connected to ordinary people. So much so, that even now half the country believes he was one of the best presidents. I leave you to your own conclusions about what matters and what qualities can be left out in the choice of leader.
I think there should be some kind of NGO or something set up to get the village youth of Serbia and the R/S interested and active in the blogging world.
I’m encouraging my boy to start his own blog. For some reason, though, he feels a bit intimidated about doing it. I can’t get it out of him right now why he feels this way. “I don’t know” is a universal teen phrase in any language.
I think this would be a good thing.

Thanks for the link; although the monolinguist that I am, wishes that there was also a translation (or at least a summary in English).
Blogging appears very popular amongst Bosnian youth; as evident by the number of blogs on http://www.blogger.ba/, a blog portal.
I haven’t checked; but there are probably similar portals under Croatian and Serbian domains as well.
Of course, as evident from the subject of this article; blogging isn’t just popular with youth! I wonder if any other Balkan politician will follow suite and also start posting a blog? (Komsic perhaps?) Not that I’m expecting anything particularly revealing from any politician…
Djelic has a also blog here which he was editing before he started blogging for B92.

Thanks, Maja!
Just goes on to prove he doesn’t mind following current IT trends.
I hope this information could be useful, and if anyone could help shed light I would be greatful .
I’am a victim of psychiatric abuse its a crime, and in hospital I have witnessed the twisted mentality of mental health professionals such as abuse like punishing me with force drugging of antipsychotics , chemical restraints ,isolation for days at a time with in appropriate meals, and nursing staff threating me with anything they thought of and it just depends on how mad you got the staff that day. I never did anything out of control or did I get violent, yet I was just standing up for patients rights and making my argued opinions in result I would get tortured with over dosing of forced antipsychotic drugs. I have even witnessed nursing staff murder a co-patient and it was sickening, frustrating and very sad part of my life. I also have a young friend who got an E.C.T done and it has completly fried his memory. after the reinforcement of drugs I have had tremors symtoms of N.M.S head pains, heart cardiac pains, weight gain ,dizzyness and sleepiness all caused by side affects of antipsychotic drugs. I suffer each day with the symptoms and I don’t think I will live that long on psychiatric medication its deadly look at the statistics if anyone can help me with this prosectution I would appreciate all the help I can get please I can name a few people who were responsible for the murders of some people:
