I’ve been getting a lot of questions lately about information on how to get to Belgrade from various neighbouring cities and how to find cheap accomodation in Belgrade, so i though it would be usefull to make this FAQ – Frequently Answered(sic!) questions.
When coming to Belgrade by train remember that Die Bahn website is your best friend. You can find absolutely every trains schedule you need there thanks to the nice and precise German people. Enter “Beograd” as your destination.
All info on how to get to Belgrade by bus is on this page. I also recommend that you check out the Serbian Eurolines page.
If you need to get from Belgrade to some other town in Serbia, go to this page and you will find the timetable you need. Use “ctrl+f” if you need to find the destination city.
All info on how to get to Belgrade by plane is now on this page.
Usefull info on how to get to Belgrade by car can be found on this page.
If you are traveling through Serbia by bicycle, be sure to check out Freebiking. It’s all in Serbian, but I’m sure they will help you if you ask a question on their forum or yahoo group. If you need a place to stay while bicycling through Serbia, you can find people willing to offer you accommodation on this page. By clicking their names, you will find their contact information.
Accommodation:
There are many hotels and few hostels in Belgrade. But in case you haven’t heard about it yet, there is a new way to find accommodation, not only in Belgrade, but in the whole world. And and i’m not talking about cheap, but accommodation for free! Yes, that’s right, you read it right, you don’t have to pay, but to offer your hospitality in return if you can.
Websites that created this revolution in world travel are Hospitality club and Couch surfing. Right about now, there are hundreds of members from Serbia on these two websites – here is Serbian page on Hospitality Club and here is Serbian page on Couch Surfing. All you need to do is register and start looking for a place to stay. Good luck!

Thank you so much for posting this information. I am planning to travel this summer from Podgorica to Belgrade and then from Belgrade to Bucharest. I am thinking about taking the train. Do you know of any website that could actually give me an estimate of how much it would cost to go from Podgorica to Bucharest?
