When people ask what time of year is best to visit Belgrade the answer is that there are events going on all year round. The peak of Summer is not always the most pleasant time to be in any city and the same is true of Belgrade although Belgrade does have a great advantage in its location – the rivers Danube and Sava. I intend to write a little about this at a later point complete with photos.

In the meantime good news for those that are traveling to Belgrade this Summer. The sun has finally descended upon us and weather forecasters are predicting a cool Summer with an average of 25 to 28 degrees Celsius in July and August. This means that nights will not be sticky and one can walk around town without fear of serious sunburn.

Forecasters worldwide are notorious for getting it wrong but in Serbia they accurately predicted the recent cold streak that had most of us reaching for our blankets.

And for those of you traveling to this years Exit Festival good news. The experts reckon that it will be a dry one!
