This subject had to come up sooner or later, you know.
But I was hoping that something else will trigger it other than your usual drooling foreign guys impressions you see on net or hear from various sources: “Dude, they have the most beautiful girls there, I swear!” or “Man, Serbia is heaven on earth as for the girls are concerned!” or stuff like that.

No, I had to wait for at least a couple of women to mention it in order to conclude that there just might be something in all these drooling guys’ claims. And here they are:

Maggie Alderson, of Sydney Morning Herald :

“The whole thing was like some kind of genetic experiment. It was clearly just the national body shape.”

and Rosmary on her blog couple of days ago:

“If Tyra Banks saw an entire town of women like these while scouting for her America’s Next Top Model show, the top of her head would pop off. It would be too much to choose from, overwhelming.”

National body shape? Too much to choose from? Something is clearly going on here. Is it even possible to determine in one nation or in one region, say, that the women are, even generally speaking, better looking than somewhere else? Or is it just another stereotype? Well, even if it is, at least it’s a good kind of stereotype. I think. And what about us guys? Nobody mentions us, I guess we have to conclude that we are average joes. Oh well.

Supermodel hot ones like the one in that photo for the most part have cobwebs in their heads. The exterior is definitely pleasing to the eye though. We can drool all we want but getting with any of these hotties is a different story (at least in Belgrade where they think they are special)

Let there be no doubt about this. It is not the make-up or the clothes, Serbian women are just, on average, significantly more beautiful than any other nationality I have ever encountered.

When men from London and Dublin come here, they are literally stunned by the beauty. You might think this is because the local women back home are ugly. This is not the case. London and Dublin women are also lovely, but they are left in the dust by Belgrade girls.

Over that the Belgrade Foreign Visitors Club we are preparing a primer to help clueless foreign men with dating and seduction in Belgrade. They are letting themselves down in droves by being leering idiots and treating Serbian women like their western sisters – an unsuccessful and occasionally dangerous practice.

One of my strongest impressions while in Belgrade was of how beautiful the girls were there. I was particularly surprised at how well everyone seemed to deal with the heat — it was at least 30 degrees the whole time I was there, and humid and full of mosquitoes. I know that women in the Balkans tend to dress up more, at least when compared to Central European women (I was living in the Czech Republic at the time — I think Czechs tend to be pretty attractive in general, but they all manage to screw it up by wearing ugly clothes and terrible haircuts), and you can see that all over, but the Belgrade girls really stood out — they just seemed really classy and sophisticated. I really didn’t see as much of the tacky-whorish look (or the bad orange tan) in Belgrade as I do in other parts of Europe or the US.

Ok, so I’m not crazy. I visitied Belgrade a couple of years ago (and the beaches of Monenegro (sp?) and nearly died when I say how many beautiful girls there were! What do they put in their water?!

On the topic I think that Serbian girls behave (ok I guess we are talking about sex) very differently at home compared to when they are ‘away’ or abroad. Could well be the same with guys though, and something to do with living with parents… Of course thats a generalisation and I think mainly applies to younger Serbian women.

I do think that eastern european women in general has better body shape. It’s less about genetics, it’s more about availability of junk food. I tend to think that people in eastern europe in general eat healthier food because you don’t have McDonald’s in every damn corner like in the USA.

my mums friend was in serbia recently, and she was astounded by the girls in belgrade.

she said they are mostly tall, athletic in build(not as in muscley but as in fit), and beautiful. they show pride in themselves and they wear clothes that if you wore in sydney would seem overly stylish but there its the norm.

she also said that the girls are the boss there.

in other words the guy goes for the girl and does everything for her. you see in cafes the guy is sitting there admiring the girl while the girl is like ‘yeah whatever’. compared to other countries where the girls seem to look desperate to get the guys attention, in belgrade ( i think in serbia in general) the guys do all the work and the girls are incharge! none of this quiet ladies behind a man. there definitely the women are on top. i like that lol

I suggest you to do the same in order to clean out from the Internet blogs the provocations and the ill-minded figures. Firstly I would like to say that foreigners who wrote something about their positive experiences shouldn’t be offended by negative comments. You know that Serbia has well educated and beautiful girls with a good sense of humor cause you were there and you saw it with your own eyes. Secondly the Serbians should watch over these insults who have never been proved. Even for me it’s hard to accept that there always will be some poor people who aren’t able to be respectful and serious. But this kind of behaviour is part of the reality, especially in blogs cause it’s impersonal.
There is something else i’d like to mention. When I started to read I thought about when I would find the first comment on politics. Of course I found it…ethnic cleansing, war history and other insults. Beyond the fact that not everything is true what western mass media reports it is just not the right time and place to speak about this.
We are talking about beauty and elegancy. For me this blog is an homage to Serbian women cause they really deserved it.
Somenone said that their beautiful shape would come from the absence of junk food? What kind of argumentation is that? Of course there are McDonalds in the bigger cities of Serbia like in Belgrade, Novi Sad and Nis and they are often visited. What about the little shops where you can buy burek and pljeskavica and all that stuff? Ok this is not so called “junk food” but it makes you fat as well.
I would say it’s a gene thing. I know it cause I’m half Serbian and half Italian. My sister has the Serbian genes and I have to live with the Italian ones. She’s tall, thin and able to eat what she wants. Ok, I’m not a midget, but without football and controlled eating habits I would be…yeah I would be chubby.

I am Serbian but I’ve lived abroad and had a chance to travel around the world. I agree that thanks to not having Burgers Kings and co. at every corner, women in Serbia do have a nice body. Maybe 10 years ago, the situation was not that nice and an impression of a tourist would be quite different than those mentioned above. Things have changed, Serbia has improved economically and every time I go home I really do see a difference, in terms of more variety, they don;t look alike as they did before, they are much more open-minded. of course, it always depends on who you meet, to whom you talk. I believe and actually know many beautiful Serbian girls, well-educated. However, we have many of them who are influenced by turbo-folk scene which is terrible and yeah, some of them look cheap,just offer them a drink,a VIP seat in some club,tell them you are foreigner (they prefer Italians/Spanish etc) and there you go:)
But generally, they are beautiful, especially in Belgrade and Novi Sad.
I am always glad to see posts of foreigners who write positive things about my country!

Here’s the scoop. I am a foreigner living in Belgrade for a few years now, and you may call me promiscuous, a manslut, a him-bo, a boy-toy, whatever. I love the lovely ladies of Belgrade, and they love me back. A lot. I don’t care if you believe me, this is an anonymous webpage and I’m just sorry if the truth hurts, but I make no excuses.
I have dated a lot of girls/women in this city, so I think it’s time to establish some facts about Serbian girls, and I’m almost certainly more qualified to comment on this topic than any of you chimps. Let’s get some facts straight.

First off, all you people who said things like:
– Serbian girls are sluts and whores – They are not smart or have good values – They are all materialistic/goldiggers/superficial/whatever – They don’t shower – Foreigners can only get laid if they have money – Etc etc etc

STOP stop stop stop spraying my face with your verbal diarhhea, you don’t have the slightest clue what you’re talking about, so sit the f*** down and shut the f*** up. We are all collectively dumber for reading your ignorant comments.

Here are my conclusions, reached after countless beautiful loves, emotional disasters, and everything possible in between:
– Serbian girls certainly do dress provocatively (God bless ‘em for that), but this is almost directly inversely proportional to how easy they are. They are most certainly NOT sluts or whores. Number of one night stands I’ve had: a grand total of 4 (out of dozens and dozens, over a span of years), which is a really significant statistic. There are slutty girls in any country, but Serb girls overall behave much more like ladies than their western counterparts. It’s not even a competition, really, so do not be fooled by the dress code. Most of them won’t sleep with you unless you’re clearly dating them, and even then they are wary.
Belgrade barely even has strip clubs, and no real “adult” stars, because it’s just all really looked down upon here. Contrast that with countries like the Czech Republic or Hungary or Russia, which have fully embraced the whole “porno-culture” and exploitation of their women’s (relative) beauty. Serbian girls are definitely NOT easy or whores, sorry. – They are devastatingly intelligent, clever, creative, well-educated, playfully manipulative, and will outsmart you every time. Because they can. They are masters of seduction from the age of like, 17, and if you ever think you have the “upper hand” in a relationship with a Serbian girl, think again. They are no fools, and will not fall victim to the kind of bullsh** Western girls eat up like candy (I blame Sex and the City). – They make the best Serbian language teachers. They are all patient, intelligent (again), and persistent. All of my (relatively decent at this point) Serbian is purely the result of linguistic discipline from Beogradjanke. Thank you, ladies! – Re: family values n’ whatnot. So much nonsense on this board. Serbia has quite tight family structures, and the girls will never bring embarrassment or shame to their families. Things are a bit patriarchal here, so they do tend to have a pretty strong “housewife” streak to their personalities, but since when is that a bad thing? Most know how to cook divinely and take care of their man, which for an overgrown man-boy like me is really appreciated. Their worst habits really, are too much smoking (this is Serbia, after all) and being a bit too obsessed with tanning in the summertime, a combination that doesn’t make them age as gracefully as they could (sorry, I gotta call it like I see it… Serbian beauty tends to be relatively short-lived). – On the flipside to that sweet demure, good family girl/housewife side, they also have a real “Femme Fatale” syndrome going on. See the second point, about being seductive & clever. They know they’re beautiful, and they know how to use that to get what they want. Luckily they use their powers for good, most of the time – As sweet and lovely as they can be, they can also be highly, viciously temperamental. I would rather get my ass beat by a gang of Crvena Zvezda hooligans than be on the receiving end of a seriously pissed off Serbian girl. You don’t want them applying all that intelligence and cleverness to your destruction and demise. – They have jealousy issues. Which is logical, b/c there’s so many nice girls here. They constantly feel that they need to be watching out for other women, and there’s probably a pretty good basis for that. – While I said they’re not materialistic, they do have a bad shopping addiction. They simply cannot control themselves, particularly when travelling abroad, around designer labels and shiny objects. I blame a decade of hard times and depravation in the 90s for this. They grew up with little or no choices in these matters, so now they all just want to enjoy the same things Western women do. That is NOT the same thing as being materialistic, it just means you should try to steer clear of shoe stores if you don’t want your conversation to be sidetracked. Again, also, this is not only true of Serbian girls. Sex and the City strikes again. – They don’t shower, smell funny, whatever. Total idiocy… I’m not even gonna dignify that with a rebuttal. They spend absurd amounts of time pampering themselves to look, smell, and feel their very best. I have a suspicion that Brazilian waxes are an unspoken law here. I suppose they do tend to wear a lot of perfume, but again, that’s more related to the shopping thing I just mentioned. – Foreigners can’t hook up with them, or only w/ money. Well, ok, this one is tricky. Most foreigners, I concede, roll around here for a few days, see a bunch of miniskirts, go to a few crazy splavovi parties, and think they’ve arrived in porno-land heaven. WRONG. When they start actually talking to the girls they often realize they are simply not equipped to seduce women of this caliber. As I said, they won’t buy into the easy nonsense Western girls do, and usually don’t sleep with you unless you’re dating them, which if you’re only visiting for a few days is tricky.
That does not mean a smart guy who is respectful and intelligent will not find a connection, as anywhere. Serbian guys tend to be really macho (“I’m a Balkan Boy!” he said, slamming his fist on the table) and many Serbian girls have had their fill of that, so just being genuinely a NICE guy works quite well, more so than elsewhere in fact. Then again, some of them EXPECT a caveman and get bored if you don’t turn out that way. Can’t please everyone. Again, universal truth.
As for getting laid with money… I suppose if you’re hanging out on Strahinica Bana, that’s the kind of environment you’re playing in, and I can’t really comment on that. I’m much more a “starving artist” type out here, and my income (or usual lack thereof) has never, ever been an issue. I’ve dated girls/women from every segment of Belgrade society, from students to actresses to business women, teachers, waitresses, go-go dancers, a writer, a police officer, TV host, artists, rich girls, poor girls, good girls, bad girls, celebrities and nobodies, the mundane and the brilliant. I did not manage that b/c I’m Mr. Moneybags.

I could go on but at this point I really don’t care to, since it’s likely wasted on most of you morons. Basically, Serbian girls are not all that different from women anywhere, just overall smarter (in terms of emotional intelligence, I should specify) and more beautiful, a combination that leads to its own particular brand of neurotic-ness.
Statistically, there is absolute truth to the fact that there are simply MORE hot ones here. I’ve travelled the world far and wide, and every place has beautiful women, of COURSE. But nowhere do you see as many of them per SQUARE METER as in Belgrade. It’s totally not natural, and I’ve given up on trying to figure out why that is, it just IS.
Belgrade is much, much, muuuch more fun for Western guys to visit than Western girls; every foreign girl I’ve had come visit here, with a few exceptions, ultimately took a pretty serious hit to their self-esteem. If you’re a Western couple coming to Belgrade, beware, this place will put challenges on your relationship you will not expect. I’ve seen it happen many times.
So all you haters, rock on with your idiocy, and stay away from Serbia, they don’t need you here. You’re just jealous or bitter losers b/c you can’t compete here. Your loss, suckers!

Im a foreighner in belgrade, and today ( a nice warm day) i was walking down the main road and there was beautiful girls everywhere, some dressed in expensive brands and all dolled up, others dressed alternatively and even they looked amazing.

ok. I am from northern India, and I lived in Italy last year, and I know plenty of Korean chics thru work.

1. women of northern india, yes some can be hot, some have a middle eastern look, while many others.. believe me.. dont. They are my race, i go and stay there alot, i know. I had the absolute pleasure of living in Belgrade for almost 2 years and had one of the best times of my life! Being and American it was absolutely a breath of fresh air talking and interacting with women that weren’t at all stuck up or worried about money or anything. For the most part the women are very down to earth and if you’re an open guy and like to conversate, you go it made! Don’t try to pick up on some chick like a common bar hag but, if you’re honest and try to get to know them, they will reciprocate the conversation or at least try! For the guy that said that only fat women get with foreigners…which ones!?!?!? THERE ARE ALMOST NONE!!! LOL!! sheesh talk about hating…i’m very happy to have been in Belgrade and consider it a second home. Had a lot of fun reading this discussion.:) Being a Belgrade girl, I always wondered weather this was just a myth (a self-narcissistic one), reinforced by foreign friends repeating this over and over again because of what I suspected to be pure politeness:)

However, It is when I go abroad that I come to conclusion that there must be something in this…You just suddenly seem much taller, slimmer, better dressed and overall beautiful to yourself the moment you leave an airplane:) OK, I do consider myself good looking on every average day, but it is when I go to other countries when I really start feeling like a super-hottie :S I have recently spent some time in London, and I have seen many pretty girls there, but yet- I was attracting most of the attention everywhere I went, felt like the most beautiful girl in every room:). I just can’t explain that, but only sit and enjoy. Sometimes, though, the attention is just too much- men in Italy and French are often too pushy and assertive (Also: NEVER wear heels in Italy, as you will stand out high from the crowd as a transvestite:))

I think the whole fuss has to be attributed to lucky mixture of genes and cultural influences: – good body constitution – really long legs and slim body are sort of a norm
-typically, girls in Belgrade are a high-maintenance sort. We do invest in working out, good quality cosmetics and are sometimes too obsessed with clothes (cultural thing, nothing superficial:))) )
-great variety of types of female beauty that can rarely bee found in one place: Serbs are Slavic people, but have mixed with so many races and people, that you can find something for all tastes: from tender blonds, to exotic brunettes-you have it all, walking streets side by side:)
-regarding provocative clothes-you must keep in mind that temperatures in Belgrade go up to 40 degrees in summer- try NOT wearing short skirts in those conditions:)

Speaking of men, I have to say something that will probably come as surprise to many- I have NEVER seen so many cute boys as in London! Hi all,

well, it was truly interesting (and sometimes revolting) to read all the rich posts and comments that people made! I live in Australia, but am originally from Belgrade- the dearest place in the Universe!!!! It is with the pride that I wear Serbian head on my shoulders and it is with the utmost delight when i say to the curious strangers that I’m coming from Serbia! I know from experience what people think or don’t know about our great country, but I’ve also had my fair share of opportunities to challenge and prove my point.
First of all, I know that people look at me everywhere, because beautiful or not, I have my ways to stick out from the crowd. Yes, I’m tall, taller than most ppl, and especially girls that I encounter, but I see myself as an average looking girl (face-wise) compared to what could be dubbed as ‘a classic’ Belgrade/ Serbian scene! I also have to say that Australia has many beautiful women- it is a multicultural environment and thus features a variety of pretty faces. I think the reason then why I turn heads is in the manner and poise as well as the stylistic image, because this is what a typical Serbian girl is like: she’s unique, creative, smart, cut out to befit the most challenging of occasions, and strong-headed! Believe it or not, this is what people find alluring!
Therefore, Serbia (or should I say Belgrade) is place where traditional values are maintained (high morals), however, girls are reared to be individual and independent thinkers. We also have higher/stronger formal schooling than most of the world-power countries, so the conversation about almost anything is quiet possible Serbian girls (and contrary to some of the earlier comments), generally, tend to adopt a blend of both masculine and feminine social roles out of personal choice (forged by specific traditional/ independent upbringing) and while keeping their appearance feminine and sensual, their attitudes and thus minds are usually inclining towards masculine, strong, and powerful. Foreigners give it a try, and you’ll know what I’m talking about! This combination rules!
Anyway, I will comment on some of the earlier posts on Serbian genotype…though in a slightly different way. Namely, it is now well known that symmetry is one of the most reliable indicators of good genes (genes that offer better survival and reproductive chances). Now, a good marker of the symmetry is, for example, the facial beauty, because the more symmetrical faces are, in fact, the more attractive they appear – just look around you! So, things like the space between the eyes, nostrils, lips (upper compared to lower), ears’ similarity in size & shape etc. are what actually makes us think that someone is more or less beautiful. Higher symmetry rate is what makes Serbian girls so beautiful, and if you don’t believe me have a closer look! That we have been so lucky to have a good quality, in general, is probably among some other things also due to the LACK of inbreeding (blood relatives producing an offspring together) of our ancestors. People that are into genetics will know this and I’m not going to go into detail. Anyhow, this can tell us something about the ancestral groups we came from, and contrary to Serbia-Siberia issue, the latter argument would suggest that we have come from the ancestors that lived in groups, which were sharing a large living aerial environment with other non-kin groups. This, of course, is spoken in terms of tens thousands of years. This has allowed the recombination of different genes, whose aim is to create a more varied gene pool, whose further aim is to better respond to the environmental challenges and thus better the chances of survival. The story is still the same today as it was millions; hundreds, and tens thousand years ago…If we talk in centuries and decades, this still applies (inbreeding story).
Also, some vengeful comments which came from one of our neighbor-country females, made me think why would anyone become so personal when trying to make a comment in public. There’s a phenomenon known as the stereotype threat, which is known to be triggered whenever there exists a superior-inferior relation between two (or more) culturally distinct groups.Note, it is a stereotype and it’s not necessarily the truth! Ahem, those thought to be inferior are usually affected by other group’s superiority and thus are known to under-perform compared to the norm, which can be obvious from poorly structured argument attempts and language, which a lady should never use!

I don’t think it’s just symmetry of the features or whatever. When I visited serbia last year – I notice that they have special coloring – more tanned and very striking features without having the huge eyes and big noses of greeks and italians (nothing wrong with them at all), nice tans, interesting combination of features – just more exotic and less bland than rest of europe which we have seen a lot of already. Combined with better living standards allowing them to maintain/invest in appearance, serbians have really come to the attention.

Agree with the post up there, it’s also the attitude – quite proud and assertive and outwardly sexual – makes you pay attention and wonder what’s going on there. It’s quite an Eastern European thing – Russians, Romanians, the balkans in general – the cultures are quite aggressive and out there.

Lots of the posts here, heck, most of the posts reek of fetishism though. More respect people!

yes, symmetry is thought to be the most reliable marker of beauty, but it’s certainly not the only one. The other good one is the one you mentioned- skin (tan, quality, etc.). This is the scientific data and not me making up :D! Big noses (wide, or long ones) are usually related to the climate, and the longest narrow ones you’d certainly encounter in Scandinavia, and the wider ones in much hotter climates! In a way, the more extreme the climate, the more extreme the noses! So, I guess we’re lucky to have a moderate continental climate…(with four distinct seasons)!

look. there is a natural beauty with serbian girls which comes from genes from slavic and turkish and god knows where else, but the mix is fantastic and has created girls with goregeous skin and pretty faces with full lips etc etc. serbain girls have naturally fit bodies. my ex gf (serb) had such a delicious body and never worked out, she had a skinny waist and broad shoulders with narrow hips that gave her a natural athletic look. and she would eat chocolate and burek and komplet lepinja and wouldnt get fat! i will however say that she didnt eat too much! and this seems to be the case with most girls here, they eat what they need and dont over do it.

I just love reading these posts about Serbian girls,since I am one of them and have always wondered what foreigners think of Serbia/Belgrade/girls/quality of life etc.I have traveled a lot during my 23 years and for the past 4 years I live abroad/2 years in Budapest and now it’s been two years in Milan. Every time I go home I see a real progress in terms of economic stability,variety of things offered,better quality in terms of life and availability of so many different things offered to a young person.As for the Serbian girls,unfortunately there are many girls looking cheap,with 3 kg of make-up, however no basic hygiene is present. Guys as well,with good cars,expensive (ugly) clothes but think of themselves so high and I really believe that this genetic behavior won’t change ever. On the other side, I see a big change in youngsters, in terms of good music they are listening to,educational backgrounds,enthusiasm,colorful clothes,original styles and alternative ways of lives they are leading,which was absent for a long time or simply not enough of it to become obvious. I took many foreign friends to Serbia and everybody loved it.Of course, it depends to which places you go,people you meet and the amount of the days one is willing to spend in Belgrade being completely open-minded. Belgrade is a little bit different than Zagreb, Sarajevo or Ljubljana with regards to mentality that makes the city unique experience for everybody, just the fact that after all that has happened ppl are simply happy,ready to party,smile and enjoy life.

Well… after reading the whole blog I must say, I’m really confused about anti-Serbian comments (made by Albanians obviously) since you are here because of your interest in Serbian women. Truth is that any Serbian, male or female, will consider you (an Albanian) as not appealing. This is, most likely, due to our anthropological, genetic and cultural differences. Which is not the case with Slovenian, Croatian, Greek, Hungarian, Macedonian, Romanian, Bulgarian or any other Southern European nation. Your anger and hatred towards anything Serbian derives from fear, I understand. That’s our reality. I hope that you understand our connection with Kosovo province since it’s the cradle of our culture for centuries.

I was fortunate enough to travel across Europe and US in last 10 years and meet people from all around the globe. There are beautiful people everywhere. Right now, I’m in New Jersey. Man, there are pretty Latinas here :). Then again that’s my taste. Couple of years ago I was in UK thinking dark haired Irish girls are the best.

well, a good thing about October is that clubs re-open for the winter season in downtown…however, summer is definitely more interesting (although hot like hell) because of all the clubs and places that move to banks of the two rivers….boat riding… lazy afternoons and warm nights that go on well into next day… I don’t know, I just simply love Belgrade more in summer, but I am sure you will find interesting things to do in October as well. I wish you good weather and no rain, though….

Serbian woman are know to be tall (especially in Montenegro) and beautiful (high cheek bones). I think that most of them (in Yugo) are skinny because they have no food to eat. The economy sucks and life is difficult. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. But as we all know, once a woman opens her mouth and speaks, then we really can know if she is beautiful or not. So outward beauty is only a small percent of the real beauty within. The Serbians along with most of Eastern Europe are/ were socialists/communists for many decades and devoid of spiritual beliefs in the the G-d who made them. They look void and empty and that detracts from true beauty. They need an encounter with G-d who can bring light to their empty souls and that would bring the inner beauty out for all to see. I’m 1st generation Serbian from Montenegro & the woman I saw when visiting there in the country side are simple with no makeup and have that natural beauty. There are beautiful woman all over the world but we’re on the subject of Serbian woman so this is my opinion. I’m proud to be a Serbian but more than that I’m happy that G-d gave me life and He lives within me. What could be greater than that? His Beauty is True Beauty.

The girls in the country also do wear a lot of make up so I have no idea what you’re talking about? They wear just as much make up as the ones in Belgrade.

The economy is not so crash hot but life is not as difficult as everyone makes it out to be. You walk down almost any street in the middle of the city on a weekday and the place is FULL! You go to Ada Ciganlija on a hot day during the week and you can barely find a spot to sit down….. It is true that a lot of serbians do not like to work.. and much prefer to spend their time drinking at Cafe’s and enjoying the day. The quality of life in Serbia is actually probably a lot higher than that of other economically stable/developed countries. Time = Money, so maybe they do not have so much money here but they certainly have a lot of time and those are equal variables.

The majority of people in Belgrade dress to an exceptional standard… there are just as many nice cars and big homes in Belgrade per capita as I have seen in many major capital cities so It is about time that people stop feeling so guilty for themselves and understand that it is not a dream land in other bigger cities…. Belgrade is a beautiful city with many beautiful things. You cannot say noone has money here, you just have to go to Usce shopping centre or Delta city to see that they have everything that any other country’s shopping malls’ have.

Anyway to all the foreigners on this site… belgrade girls are by far the hottest in the world… maybe beside latinas/spanish in my point of view. The numbers are at least 4 girls to every 1 guy so the odds are in your favour…. I think that the girls are a lot more laid back and less likely to snub you when you try to talk to them too, which also helps.

And Milka I’m not sure where you’re from but I know for a fact that life is tough in many other countries….. they actually work a hell of a lot more than people in serbia work…. I do know that jobs are probably more scarce here in serbia but I also know that people really do have a good quality of life here just like anywhere else in the world. Of course there are people struggling here, I have family in the country that have to worry about how much they have for bread and milk but this is everywhere in the world.

Serbia is coming back and in the near future the economy is going to grow and grow and it will return to being as beautiful as it was 20 years ago…..the wars kind of F#$#@d it up here but we are already making positive ground and things are looking up. Serbia is god’s country and the world is going to see how beautiful it is here…. and especially our women…. god bless them because they truly make this country special!

Sorry If I sounded rude when I wrote that last message I just sometimes get annoyed when Serbians say that life is so hard here now… because it is wrong…. yes Serbians went through a very tough time when we were bombed in the 90’s and the economy doesn’t have such a strong history, but since we are on the “Belgrade Blog” website I can say that Belgrade is not short of most materialistic things that are found in any major capital city i.e. fashion, cars, restaurants, and an exceptional nightlife.

I think because a lot of people have suffered here in the past that they tend to make the present situation sound difficult, but it is not in the big picture. Serbia is turning around and slowly but surely we will come back to where we once were.

The average salary in Serbia is probably between 300-400 euros per month which is not very much, but what nobody understands is that what is written down on paper isn’t always how it is. Most people who work in hospitality have low wages but they get tips and they also find other ways to increase their salaries by a considerable amount… I know waiters’ who earn only 700 dinars per day (probably a bit less than $20 american dollars)... but they have enough money to live comfortably and also rent their own apartment….

One thing that annoys me is when people like to feel sorry for themselves…. that is not a real Serbian trait because we are strong people but that is a trait that is becoming more and more common here.

Anyway there are a lot of people who aren’t like this also and this city is an unbelievable place!!! The women here are beautiful like you said and most of them probably would still look hot if they didn’t have make up on because they have natural beauty. You only have to ask any foreigner who has been here on a holiday (at least more than 1-2 days) and they will tell you the truth about how gorgeous the women are….

What you said about forgiving is right and it would be such a good thing if everybody thought like you…. I think it’s never ending because serbians/croats/albanians may not necessarily hate one another but if they are constantly hearing/reading/seeing racial hatred against them then it is only normal to defend themselves and get angry against the other…..this hatred then also becomes racially motivated in a way…

In a perfect world I would love nothing more than to forgive and forget what has happened in the past and to become peaceful with one another but I feel like this is not going to happen purely because it has been going on for hundreds/thousands of years and too many children are taught from a young age to have hatred toward others.

As a foreigner living here in Belgrade, I can truly say that women here are stunning. BUT alot of them have a real strong character, so need handle with care. ie they need a boyfriend or husband with brass balls or they will walk all over you.

I also just returned from a 7 week trip to Serbia and agree in entirety with the statement! Serbian girls per capita are by far hotter than any other country I have come across to date…My parents are from Pula and Montenegro, but I was born in Australia and it was my first time visiting the country.

From my observation, Serbian girls seem to carry themselves with a very distinct femininity. They dress very well, they look fabulous and they definitely don’t suffer from EBS. For you uneducated souls, EBS stands for Expanding Bum Syndrome. EBS is something a majority of western women seem to get when they hit their early to mid 20’s and it just seems to get worse as they get older.

We have some stunning girls here in Australia, but my head was turned that much whilst in Serbia that I had to see a chiropractor to fix it when I got home.

Western girls don’t have anything over their Serbian counterparts. They’ve priced themselves out of the market with their bullshit games and their expanding asses!

If money is the issue, there are alot of people here in Belgrade that are loaded with money. Big houses, awesome cars and bikes… but there is a general conception of serbia around the world that its a poor war strucken country, but thats media for you.

Don’t believe anything the American media says about Serbia, and to be honest, you cant say anything until you come here for yourself.

Regarding the girls, one of the reasons there are over 20 000 expats living in Belgrade alone, is because of the woman. Amongst the expats, nearly every week we meet someone new that has come to belgrade with thier girlfriend/boyfriend (more of them are men that have come with thier girlfriend)

It’s diverse, you cant say that all the girls are sluts because that is the furtherest from the truth. You cant just come to belgrade and try hook up with girls, this doesnt work, and even if you want to “pay-for-sex” those agencies are rare because that industry is very quiet.

If you really want a “holiday fling” plan your holiday for atleast 3 months cos you gonna have to work hard for that (as the girls are hard to get, not sluts), but then you will probably not want to leave.

Hey Dino,

I recommend the restaurant Balzac which is located on the street Strahinjica Bana and order one of the grilled chicken dishes… it’s quite a ritzy street with a lot of good restaurants and compared to Greece the prices at most restaurants on this street will be extremely cheap for you so you can treat her every night to a great dinner

Another area that I love going for dinner at is Skadarlija… it’s located within the central part of the city… the street “Skadarska” is made from cobble stones and has a really lovely atmosphere with live music… my favourite restaurant there is called “Sešir Moj”, you will recognise it because the entrance is lined with more colourful flowers than any other restaurant in the street.

As for photography there are so many places to see and shoot… it depends on what you type of photography you like… landscape? architecture? wildlife?

Kalamegdan is a must to go to and take photos of…. there is also a photo exhibition in Kalamegdan park that hopefully is still on and you could see the photos on exhibition for some inspiration.. the photographers name is Dragoljub Zamurovic you could check him out on the net.

I would just take your camera most places you go because I think you’ll have a lot of great opportunities to take nice photos.

I’m not sure if you’re into Serbian music or not?

My favourite clubs that come to mind are: h2o, Freestyler, Sound, Plastik, Ambis

Search them on the internet to find their location etc…. most play english music e.g. house, electronic etc it’s all current european stuff so if you’re into those sort of places then you’ll enjoy…. there are also girls dancing in cages at most of those places so be sure to take your camera haha

My favourite bar in the city is Bar Central , and all the top bartenders from Belgrade work there and they are very knowledgeable with cocktails, prices are pretty good too.

On Friday night (i think) if you’re into salsa they have a club at Kalemegdan which looks over the sava river and has an excellent atmosphere!

Go to Obilicev (Obili-ch-ev) Venac in the city center where there are lots of bars and lots of gorgeous women…

ive been to the EXIT festival in serbia in novi sad ( it was awsome btw lolz surly 1 of the best ive been to ) and after it finished i was in belgrade for 2 days before my flight back to the uk and i must say the girl are HOT, i mean i cant say they are ALL hot but like 85% i would class as ‘beutiful’ or ‘hot’.

It’s funny, I saw that video. Most of the guys here say serbian women have great/fantastic bodies. But I live in Australia (parents are both polish, BTW, but I have been told I look serbian/croatian/balkan, whatever, because i have hungarian blood which makes me tan, i’m tall and have high cheekbones/thick lips. Bottom line I don’t look that polish lol) and anyway, most of the girls in that video would be considered by AUS/UK/US women to be anorexic sticks who look like underfed ten year old boys who are unattractive to men because of their lack of stomach fat and cellulite. Either that or they would be fake trashy whores who spent too much time fake baking.. a) 90% of those tans looked natural and b) if the average western woman had a body like that, or half as good as that, she would probably wear a quarter of the clothes the serb women are wearing. Also I heard it’s pretty hot there. Even when its 40+ here I can wear skinny jeans and be OK but for most it isn’t like that.

But seriously most of the hate is either jealous women, men who were rejected by serbians, or jealous women disguising themselves as guys.

I used to have a body like that but have unfortunately gained 2 dress sizes :(:( so I’ll be losing them hopefully over the next 2-3 months.. And all those people saying serbian men didn’t win the gene pool: I know a few croatian, bosnian, serbian and montenegrin guys. Most of them are considered hot here (they are pretty hot but not like fall on the floor hot) but told me they’d only be average/a bit above average in their home countries. And I think that the bosnians/serbs are the hottest, and the serbs/montenegrins have the best bodies so I guess serb guys are the winners

dom, its not true. i don’t think any of them have eating disorders… even the fat ones don’t care… serbian women don’t really watch what they eat…. they eat just like them men…. it must have something to do with the metabolism and climate here or something…. i have lots of female cousins and all my friends who are girls do not hold back when they are eating food…you just have to go to McDonalds at Terazija which is in the centre of the city to see how many gorgeous girls are there every night and eating McDonalds haha… It’s rare to see someone fat eating there, seriously.

I’ve been to Serbia, more than once. yes it’s true, they do seem to have very attractive women. The majority have nice bodies, and nice even features (the women anyway).

What impresses me about Serb/Croat/Bosniak/Montenegrin/Slovene women is how few of them work in the sex industry compared to other “developing” European nations. Simply put, I love Serbia more than I love the EU. With that said, Islam is the only thing that can and will affect the EU in a major way. It will happen, just a matter of time.
Europe deserves that ‘major’ change, for screwing with Serbia in the past. But at the same time, I do not want Serbia to become like Mecca, Saudi Arabia.

i just think that there is more and more pessimism in serbia which is the only thing that will ever change serbia…noone else can do it and we’ve proven that before…very strong minded people that can live within their means and have strong characters with good values.

I don’t necessarily think that the wars were caused by the west pushing for democracy… i think that land occupation & differences in religion were the main causes but I don’t want to discuss any of it because every time it is discussed there is never anything positive or good that comes out of it.

There is a very strange paradox in Serbia – Incomes are low, but disposable incomes are high.

Someone might make 400 euros a month, but they live with their parents, so they get to spend their entire salary on themselves. Consequentially, people (women in particular), tend to be well dressed but a bit adolescent in their mentality well into their 30s.

I agree with what you’ve said Danilo…

The average wage is somewhere between 250 & 550 euros but i’m yet to find a source that shows the statistics used to arrive at that number…if anyone has this please post a link…. I studied statistics at university & learned various ways of calculating averages based on populations and the type of distribution of results so i’m interested to know which one they use as it can make a big difference…

Anyway like you say, in Belgrade the disposable income is high because many live with their families & parents…credit is also less used than in other nearby countries..I do find that women can be less mature but have also come across many mature ones…. however I seem to see a lot more depth & good values in the women here rather than in other countries, perhaps that is because I don’t know how to speak those other languages..however I think no matter which language you speak you can still get to know people by their eyes, actions, tone etc.. not saying you can know someone but i can certainly see someone who’s down to earth from someone who’s untrustworthy and i’m sure you can too..

It does turn into arguments because every action (post) has an equal or greater reaction (reply post)... But I think it’s logical to see that if someone starts bad mouthing serbia and serbs, that there will be reactions… even if you are supposedly “truth telling” or being “realistic”.. your negativity isn’t wanted and only brings everyone down…

I decided to do a little presentation on Serbian/Balkan beauty. That is how i got to this blog and i guess since i am here i might as well state my opinion.
I think Serbian girls are amazingly beautiful, very talkative, fun to hang out with, crazy girls with a great sense of humor :D. Of course there a few of those too(both female and male), who like to ignore everyone and act unapproachable, but the majority isn’t like that.
I am a Hungarian girl from Novi Sad and i can honestly say that one of the most beautiful, very model like looking women live on the Balkan (especially those of Slavic descent), and us Hungarians (which is not really Balkan :P) are just kinda dragging along, but we don’t really meet that standard of beauty.

When I wrote my first comment I was drunk like hell after some party and I even forgot that I wrote something on this blog.I ran accidentally on this topic that night(or morning:P) and started to read some comments and I was pissed off by some of them like-Serbian girls are this or Serbian guys are that-and decided to put lot of shitload from my brain in one breath.

i dont know how that can be directed towards me since i do know serbian language and culture…
it was just a matter of time when someone would try and change the language of the thread into serbian.
anyway, if i read one more comment from serbian nationalistic bitches saying they are better than the whole world i think im gonna puke. seriously, u are embarrassing yourselves. most of the comments consist of other nations (especially the english) praising serb girls, and serb girls calling these people losers and calling themselves better than them. now which side is the disgusting side here??? wht do u think?

this whole post has become stupid.. too many people are saying stupid things… it is full of people who hate serbians and that are calling our women sluts…. it’s not fair… it is such a degrading term to use and really very low to go saying such horrible things about people like that especially when most of the time they haven’t lived in belgrade to know what they’re really like….

it’s impossible to go to a country for a holliday and call that country’s women sluts….

it is a shame that there are so many arguments… it hsould just be deleted… the whole point is to say are they hot or not…it should really be a yes or no answer and not more involved than a few sentences..,.,

anyway this is my last post…

Serbian women are not sluts… some women in belgrade are sluts, some women in every single country in the world are sluts…but women in belgrade are hot and there is no doubt about it… if you really want to know you have to go there…even women from other countries cannot believe how beautiful and hot girls in belgrade are….

that list is terrible, the UK and United states was included in the top 15 countries. Seriously, the only person who can write a blog stating the top 15 countries of hot woman around the world, has to have travelled to every country.

Because no way can googling “Hot girls from xxxxxxx” etc etc and finding images on the net, can tell you that the girls are hot.

You have to go there yourself, and sharkskin, I bet you have been to Switzerland, but have yet to go to Serbia. so shut the fuck up….

I was dumped for a Serbian chick. All I can say is, despite this, even the “ugly” Serbian girls look interesting. It’s the difficult history, wide gene pool, recent “opening” up of Yugoslavia combined that really make them stand out. However, some can look extremely trashy.

p.s. However, I still think France, Spain, Italy and truly multicultural countries like USA and Australia breed the best looking girls overall. It’s just that Serbian/Croatia etc have been closed up in a way for so long makes you notice them as “unique”. Russian girls are also very beautiful but more snobby and hard to get, maybe?

And Nah, the northern eu countries (swiss, etc) look bland.

im sure serbian girls would not have been considered beautiful a 100 years ago. what is considered beautiful changes all the time. slavic women got lucky because tall, skinny, with high cheekbones and strong facial lines is the look that is in now… but what if we go back to chubby, round face, blond, blue eyes and pale skin? well, i guess they’ll wear contacts and dye their skin white haha im sure they’d do that.

LOL the debate about serbian girls can easily be settled. How many times or ever has serbian girls won a beauty pageant? if ever? like Miss Universe? Kosovo got close but doesnt count really cause they separated from Serbia.

Those pageants dont tell you anything. Everyone can have thier own opinion. Im not really a fan of pale, northern european girls. But i still think they are nice, and I would like to go to Sweden and other northern european countries to SEE FOR MYSELF.

I havnt travelled many places, but I can say that serbian girls are the hottest I have seen in my travels.

I wont base my opinions on pagents and blogs. My opinions are based on actually going there and seeing for myself. so either do that… or your opinion means nothing. Serbians are nice people. The guys arent arrogant like say, the spanish. And the girls throw friendly smiles around rather than deadly looks.

If your alone in a cafe, you can strike up a conversation with your waitress. And you would have to try extremely hard to take her home, probably take her on a few dates first. They are not sluts.

Judges and people from all over get together and see which girls are the pretties/hottest from all over there world and. you know what, the girl that represented Serbia, Dragana Atlija” said the exact same thing, “I come from a country with the most beautiful women in the world.”

Well I think Dragana Atlija came across as straight-forward and sensible. She also won the “Body Beautiful” contest at an international pageant, so she was recognized as one with the best figures.

The thing about the Miss Universe contest though, is it is owned by Donald Trump and NBC, and most all the judges are based in the U.S. (working there or citizens.

Donald Trump even admitted how he selected the top 10 finalists. There is often a political slant and corruption in these contests anyway. Donald Trump has his own kind of taste and that is what came through in the finalists due to his ownership of the event.

Many people watching often disagree with the one named the winner as well.

The facts are, as well, that countries like the U.S., Britain and Germany have higher rates of obesity than Serbia and the general population will look plumper, shorter and less fit than the average Serb. So while they can pick out some beauties out of their much larger population, the average is probably a lesser-looker.
