Berlusconi’s Photoshop trick: using Milosevic’s methods?
Way to go Silvio! Learning from the best. Or is it the worst?
When this photoshopped photo of Berlusconi came out couple of days ago, there were many here who immediately thought of another dictator – one who had much bigger influence on their lives, of course.

Just before falling off of it, Milosevic made last attempts to keep himself in power. One of such attempts was this montage in Vecernje novosti, paper close to the government both today and back then. The pre-election meeting in Berane, in support of Milosevic, was visited by some ten to fifteen thousand people. In the photo, however, it seems that there are at least three times that much, and the text said there were hundred thousand of supporters. The photo-montage was, of course, immediately exposed, and the photo popularly called “the twins”.

Fours days after the photo was published, Milosevic lost the elections by a close margin. Maybe it will be the same for Berlusconi, who is probably the politician with the biggest resemblance to Milosevic-style politics in European Union today.
[hat-tip to Ratko for pointing out the Berlusconi’s trick]
