Belgraded.com – update your bookmarks, dot yu is no more
Dear readers,
did you miss me? I sure did miss updating you on stuff that goes on in Belgrade, Serbia and the region. Lack of time, money, food and drugs all necessary to keep the blog going struck all at the same time. But the break was used wisely – to redesign the entire thing from scratch.
So what’s new besides the name?
The magazine style frontpage – if you visit the new Belgraded site, you’ll understand.
Forum – it’s pretty much clear what’s it all about, but there’s also a nice little feature – if you have a question that needs answering asap you need not register – hell, you don’t even need to go to the forum page at all – just post it directly from the homepage and hope that some of the 200+ bgd2.0 readers will answer.
Events – that’s right, there’s stuff going on in Belgrade and some of it is so good that you would not want to miss it. The events calendar works like any other calendar – you click a day and it tells you the cultural offer for that day.
Site feed will remain the same – http://feeds.feedburner.com/belgrade but it will now include, beside the regular blog posts, an odd link to a site or a blog or even just a post I find readworthy, as well as an occasional interesting unanswered question from the forum.
The redesign itself was so complex that nobody in the Bgdd crew was smart enough to do it. That’s why we found someone who was smart enough – Dejan of Anegdote. If you need a site that looks as good as this one, he’s the guy to talk to. If you happen to have some suggestion concerning the redesign, I’ll be happy to hear about it.
Oh, and please – if you are linking to us from your blog/site, please update from www.belgrade.org.yu to www.belgraded.com! I guess the dot yu site will live for as long as the .yu domain lives, but it won’t be updated anymore. It was nice while it lasted.
The rest should remain pretty much the same – we will write and you will hopefully read and comment. Thanks for putting up with us so far and for remaining interested while this long pause lasted.

Nice new site design! And welcome back. I was definitely feeling Belgrade 2.0 withdrawal symptoms! I look forward to getting my fix again.
Balkan File has also moved and had a redesign, almost the same time as you!
