Ana, Jelena and Bill
Besides a couple of facebook hate groups, not a lot of fuss has been surrounding this recent photo of Ana Ivanovic and Jelena Jankovic posing together with former US president Bill Clinton.
I still find this photo interesting from a symbolic perspective, though.
In Serbia, “Bill Clinton” still = “USA bombing Serbia”, which isn’t far from truth. If on the other hand Jelena and Ana are some sort of Serbian representatives, does this mean that the bombing is forgiven from our side, or is it just a question of good manners to pose with a fan?
Quote from Ana’s site:
“It was a great honour to meet President Clinton,” said Ana. “He was fun to talk to and he definitely likes his sport!”

They are both retarded, especially Ana, who sounds like a 3-year old when she speaks.
Ana is about the same height as Bill Clinton. You can’t see what kind of shoes she’s wearing, but she’s dressed casually, so probably not heels. I think she’s 6’1” – quite tall for a woman. And the other poster seems right – she does not seem so bright.
Clinton has aged quite a bit in the last 10 years – very saggy and baggy face.
Some comments from their ex fans:
[quote] – Did the secret service hold Ana and Jelana hostatage? Did you see guns to their heads? They are two adults who could have refused the photo op, but they rose above pettiness.
I think many Serbs might feel that Ana and JJ sold their souls for the money they have got from sponsors that might include Clinton as well.
-these 2 smiling crazies must appologize to Serbian people, god knows we can’t do it to our enemies but at least serbs should not insult each other. This is horrible the way it looks
-Ana and Jelena aren’t the brightest girls in the world but they and their marketing team should have known better.
-You’re right, they shouldn’t have to do any political work or have pictures taken with Clinton. For two reasons:
1. They are tennis players;
2. They are ethnic Serb women.
-Osama Bin Laden is a huge Arsenal fan. Do you think Arsene Wenger would pose with him because, gee whizz, you shouldn’t mix sport with politics.
don’t think so, and Bin Laden killed far less civilians than the Clinton-Albright-Holbrooke mass murdering regime.
No doubt this was arranged by the Clinton-Albright-Holbrooke CIA goons as a “we’re back” message to Serbia on the tenth anniversary of the NATO Pact atrocities.
-Americans wouldn’t understand what it means to Serbs unless they see a smiling picture of Blake and Roddick with Osama Bin Laden
-If I kill somebody’s mother, I expect them to call me a murderer. At least. And if my neighbors turn around and say their honored to meet him, I’m gonna be upset. And of course, there are twenty-five sides to this. But for the average apolitical Serbian janitor who lost half his family in the bombing, the other twenty-four sides are bullshit.

Honestly …...I could never do that , he was coming here in Chicago as a speaker and I always go to listen these influental people who come and talk about current issues, and other important stuff and as a young girl I feel its important for me to widen my perspective get as much as advice, and absorb a lot of important things and life lessions to have the ability to hear things from different perspectives….and just know things but I did not go to see Bill Clinton, I even felt troubuled that we shared the same city on that day. I mean all those arm twisting politics and, ruining and poisoning people of my country …...I think they might have done it and not cause a media stir over this but I think that it would be worth it to deny him. You might be my fan but I am not yours.
As a Serbian canadian who every day reads on the net about what is happenning in Serbia and Kosmet,I am utterly discusted by their actions .To embrace this war criminal is to spit in the face of all serbs.Novak Djokovic didnt even want to be in the same room as him.
Hey Name And how you sound like when you speak other language maybe like MORON hahaha :],but they are stupid because they don’t have dignity and they like only money not Serbia because they photo with Serbian-killer.
If it weren’t for Bill Clinton, Ana and Jelena wouldn’t even be where they are today. Face the truth and shut up. They are both rich and travel the world as successful athletes.
Jelena and Ana are done for me as far as tennis goes. Clinton in his better days was rolling in hay with dark haired bimbos like these two. Re: Ana’s comment being honored to meet Clinton: To be honored, you need to have honor first. You lost your right to represent Serbia when you took a picture with someone with Serbian blood on his hands – from two wars. I am utterly ashamed that these two are associated with Serbia.
As for Jovan’s comment above, you obviously think that Clinton is cause for the misery in Serbia, and not 12 years of Milosevic and 5 years of DS. You have no clue whatsoever what you are talking about.
